Rabbi’s Message

by Rabbi Sarah Hronsky

Welcome to our K’hilah (community).

Temple Beth Hillel is our home.  It is a comfortable, family-friendly synagogue where everyone can belong.  We take great pleasure in being a sacred space for all of our members, while never forgetting to reach beyond our walls.

We are humble about singing our own praises, yet we delight in the fact that we serve the East San Fernando Valley in many ways.  For example, we are one home of the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry which feeds 5,000 meals per month to those in need. We build strong youth through Scouting and synagogue youth programs like HRTY and we host 12-step programs and offer affordable counseling through our Community Counseling Center.

We believe that Jewish learning is a life-long endeavor.  We offer multiple ways to engage in the study of Torah through our Day School (Pre-K – 6), religious school and adult education programs.

We look back, with pride, at what we have  accomplished over the last 70 years and forward, with hope, toward what will be our legacy in the generations to come.  We honor the members who built this Temple by passing their values down to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

I invite you to sample our offerings, join us in prayer, and walk with us as we continue to express our love for our faith, our heritage, and each other.

May we continue to grow “L’Dor VaDor” — from generation to generation.
