Are you familiar with CAG?  CAG is a national organization known as “Caring Across Generations” and it consists of over 200 organizations, all working towards providing  universal affordable  long term health care and dignity and professionalism for those who provide the care.  Our faith based Los Angeles alliance presently consists of the above noted congregations/organizations and we continue to grow.

Our focus is Education and Legislative Mobilization.

EDUCATION:  We have already offered workshops 1-6 . Our next planned workshops:

Workshop # 7  August 28: Compassion and Choices with Karen Morin RN (At Temple Judea, Tarzana)

Workshop # 8  October 23: Medical Ethics, Dr. Stuart Finder, Director, Center for Healthcare Ethics, Cedars Sinai  ( At First Christian Church, Studio City.)

Workshop # 9  December 11: The Emotional  Toll in Redefining your Aging Self. Speakers: Therapist Howard Blumenfeld, PhD, MFT and Psychiatrist Dr. Jim Ghaznavi, MD.    (At Adat Ari El, Valley Village)

Workshop # 10 February 26, 2017 :  Dementia, an overview by a specialist followed by a panel with Jeff Adler and Dana Julian, both have spouses afflicted with early onset Alzheimers. (at Temple Beth Hillel, Valley Village)

Workshop # 11  April 23,2017   :     Hand in Hand: The Fair Care Pledge, (www.faircarepledge.org)   the past, present and future  of the relationship between domestic workers and caregivers and  their employers. Samples of “Direct Hire Contracts”. National and State organizers for Hand in Hand.

Workshop # 13  Aug 20, 2017   :     Downsizing: What to do, what not to do at such a difficult time. Speaker: Bonnie Summer, Caring Transitions.
